MurielLAYFIELD(Ponteland). Peacefully in hospital on 9th December, aged 83 years, beloved wife of Howard, and dearly loved mother and grandmother of Jonathan, Elizabeth and Simon and their families. Following a committal at the West Road Crematorium, Newcastle, on Friday 19th December at 2.45pm, a celebration of her life will take place at St Mary's Church, Ponteland, at 3.30pm. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to The British Heart Foundation, The Alzheimer's Society or to a charity of your own choice.
